Bisexual Coming Out to Parents Tips

Bisexual Coming Out to Parents Tips
For any member of LGBT who wants to come out , parents could be the hardest part . because , compared to friends , colleagues or any people know you , your parents, are the people you care most and who care you most . if they don’t accept your orientation , it could be very painful to you , especially , when you struggled a lot and accepted your bisexual orientation finally .
Come out to your parents is definitely not a easy thing , after you doing it ,your family ,once was warm, peace and harmony could turn into a mess like storm crossing; your loving parents can look at you in a disappointed even hateful way ; your heart you thought confirm and strong enough may become confused and fragile again . I wrote a article last time - “Bisexual Male and Bisexual Female , Come Out to Family or Not?” in this article ,I objectively talked some practical consideration about out or not. But everyone has their own different thoughts, if you have decided to come out to parents ,I would say I admire your courage and honesty and I want to give you some tips here, to show my support. Hope it can be useful.
Here comes the tips:
1.  Don’t do it ,when you feel you want to come out to your family for the first time. it’s probably just a momentary feeling or impulse . Calm down and think about the country or regions where you are , the custom, religious belief and your parents’ability to be open-minded and  accept such things. At least ensure your personal safety . Why I would say this ,because we know LGBT is everywhere ,and bisexual is everywhere ,yes we are not alone ,but not all the countries and regions can give a friendly hug to us .
2.  If you clearly know that your parents won’t accept this ,still you want to be who you are, make sure before you do this that you are not too dependent financially on your parents.
3.  As I know many bisexual male or bisexual female who want to come out to family ,they are eager to get the understanding and support of their parents, when they can’t control this inner desire anymore ,they decided to come out . Then don’t hesitate , don’t put off telling them , the longer you wait the harder it will be . Just like bungee jumping , you spend more time standing above and thinking , you become more unable to jump . Because the waiting can while away your energy and courage .
4.  When you are doing it , Keep a straight face , don’t smile , seriously show them your determination . Be respectful and let them know you exactly know what you are doing .And don’t be afraid to cry ,if you need to.
5.  Your parents will love you no matter what your sexuality is, and if they are angry, they are probably just confused or shocked. It will take them time to get used to.

6.  In the end ,it’s not easy to make such a decision , if you made such a decision, you better make the worst plan but with the most positive thoughts, with the expectation to do it.
