This is the question many of bisexual male,bisexual female may struggled or struggling with. Actually ,no matter you choose tell or not tell,it’s rational.
Reasons for “tell”
1. Parents are the person who love you most and they care you so much,even if you don’t tell them, they can feel that you are some kind of different through some tiny things ,they will get confused ,don’t know what happened to you and very worry about you.
2. If you don’t tell them, then the person they love is not you ,but someone else who you’re acting ,you’re pretending to be. What’s more sad than this one.
3. Even if you don’t tell them, can you ensure that they won’t know the truth from other people’s mouth? If in this way ,it’s better to tell them by yourself.,at least ,they will know your trust and respect.
4. Only when you tell them you are bisexual ,you can have the chance to get their understanding and support. They are the person you love most and care most ,their support is the biggest power to encourage you to be who you are . and you won’t be afraid of anything with them back of you.
5. You choose “not tell”,because you are afraid they won’t accept it and won’t love you anymore. But you should never underestimate the love of parents,they love you so much that they accept you no matter how different you are.
Reasons for “not tell”
1. Parent may get emotions which are bad for the their health when you tell them you are bisexual male or bisexual female, and you don’t want this happen.
2. When you parents know it, there will be more worries in their lives. For example, they will worry that your identity may bring you some trouble in your social activity or work.
3. When we were kids ,parents protected us. Now ,we have grown up, it’s our turn to protect they from things they don’t like. You want them happy instead of facing unhappy things.
4. If you parents haven’t expressed any negative thoughts about bisexual male ,bisexual female ,that just because it’s none of their business. When it comes to their own daughter or son ,they do care it so much.
5. Some parents really won’t accept it , even if you tell them you are bisexual for sure,they still think it’s just a phase. And you won’t be a happier person.
